Marita Wijnerman
Marita Lautan-Wijnerman has been at the tax authorities for 23 years. Her former position was Head of Fiscal Affairs. Until February 2023 she was the deputy director of Fiscal Affairs, responsible for general tax policy and legislation at the tax Department. Mrs Lautan-Wijnerman is currently the Director of Taxation and Custom in Suriname.
As the Director of Taxation and Custom, she is responsible for the tax policy, including international tax policy.
Marita has contributed to the amendment and drafting of various tax laws, and helped to formulate tax policy including tax incentive for various sector including the mining sector.
She is a part-time lecturer at the University of Suriname in the subjects of tax law and legal ethics and legal philosophy.
Marita Lautan-Wijnerman has a master's degree in law and a postmaster degree in legislation.
