Steven Debipersad studied Medicine and Economics at the University of Utrecht and the Anton de Kom University of Suriname. In recent years, he has become known for his macroeconomic analyses shared through interviews and presentations. Since 2014, he has been active at the Anton de Kom University of Suriname, initially as a lecturer in Economics and now focusing on developing Master's programs to enhance financial-economic education in Suriname. For a decade, he has served on the Board of the Association of Economists in Suriname (VES), now as chairman. This year, he also chairs the Suriname Business Forum. In these roles, he seamlessly connects efforts to contribute as a citizen to the development of Suriname.
